GREENVILLE CIVITAN CLUB WHO WE ARE We are a service club for men and women who want to be involved in community projects, develop new friendships and become better informed about our community, nation and world. Our club was organized in 1947, and has a rich heritage of service to the mentally and physically disabled. We sell Claxton fruitcakes, place Candy boxes in local businesses, and sponsor an annual Honey Baked Ham sale and Paula Dean products to support our charitable projects. We actively support projects to aid persons with mental and physical disabilities. Our activities make our community, our nation and the world a better place to live. History of the Civitan Club of Greenville We meet on the first and third Mondays from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Presently, we are meeting at the Poinsett Club in Greenville, S.C. THE CIVITAN CHALLENGE Civitans are committed to meeting human needs through community involvement while providing each Civitan with experiences essential to personal development. We serve through actions which re-affirm and strengthen the individual dignity of people. We seek knowledge to carry out our responsibilities as citizens. We establish bonds of fellowship which enrich our personal lives and enable us to provide effective service. And we invite others to share our commitment to service, knowledge and fellowship through Civitan.
